The World Vision is now preparing for the Phase II of the Rolling Contribution Channel (RCC) tuberculosis (TB) program in the country as the Phase I which commenced in 2009 is set to end this December.
RCC covers countries that are invited by the Global Fund due to their good performance, said Imelda C. Ochavillo, program manager in Western Visayas of the Social Mobilization on TB (SMT) project, which is one of the components of the TB program.
She said that they have already submitted to the Global Fund their performance framework showing the indicators and targets for Phase II.
“We are just waiting for feedback from Global Fund if they are okay with the proposed indicators and targets. After that the planning process for Phase II will start,” she explained.
The extension will not only cover Iloilo but also all the other 21 sites where the program is being implemented.
Ochavillo explained that under the SMT her group particularly handles the Advocacy Communication Social Mobilization (ACSM).
