World Bank: Provide opportunities to learn to deliver quality public services
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan. 16 (PNA/Bernama) — Governments and international development agencies can improve delivery of public services, even with limited resources, by providing opportunities and space for learning, said the World Bank.
It said enrollments in schools for example had increased especially among girls, but the quality of education often had not.
“These outcomes happen because many governments around the world implement reforms by changing their service delivery systems, by altering their organisation structures or adopting best practices from abroad, rather than focusing on what they can actually do,” it said. (PNA/Bernama)
