Fair weather seen on Good Friday
MANILA, March 25 (PNA) — Except in Northern Luzon, most parts of the country will continue to have fair weather on Friday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
PAGASA said northeast monsoon now affecting Northern Luzon will bring cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the regions of Cordillera and Cagayan Valley.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
It added moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon. The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.
The state-run weather bureau also issued a gale warning due to the effects of northeast monsoon as the sea condition would be rough to very rough due to strong to gale force winds is expected to affect the northern seaboards of Northern Luzon.
“Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves,” it warned. (PNA)
