Toyota Resumes Hybrid Car Production in Japan

Toyota Motor Corp. <7203> will on Monday resume part of its domestic production that has been halted since the March 11 earthquake in northeastern Japan, focusing on three hybrid models, company officials said Thursday.

The automaker will restart two of its assembly plants in Japan that have been shut and will manufacture the Prius, which is in high demand, and two hybrid versions, HS250h and CT200h, of its Lexus luxury brand.
