BACOLOD CITY, June 10 (PNA) — As part of its initiatives to improve efficiency and enhance sustainability in sugarcane production, the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) will conduct a series of farm management seminars between July and October this year.
The three-day seminars, to be held at the SRA La Granja Agriculture Research and Extension Center in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, will be conducted on July 26-28, August 23-25, September 27-29, and October 25-27.
The SRA said the trainings will focus on cost reduction measures, weed and fertilizer management, new high-yielding varieties of sugarcane, pests and diseases, mitigation on the adverse effects of climate change, and practicum on management of plant and ratoon crops.
Training fee is P3,500 per participant inclusive of food, training materials, t-shirt and accommodation.
