The Singapore stock market finished higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index up 44.41 points, or 1.49 percent, to close at 3,018.91.
A total of 1.81 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 41 billion Singapore dollars (US$ 1.13 billion).
Gainers outnumbered losers 293 to 102, while 387 others finished unchanged.
The STI index lost 15.58 points, or 0.52 percent, to close at 2,974.5 on Monday.
