Security passes of 300 Heathrow staff suspended amid fraud investigation
LONDON – The passes of 300 employees at London’s Heathrow Airport have been suspended amid an investigation into alleged fake pass use at the airport, The Guardian reported.
A contractor at the airport has confirmed that the airside security passes of about 300 Heathrow staff, including cleaners and caterers, have been suspended as “a precautionary measure,” the newspaper said on Thursday. At the end of last month, two women were arrested on suspicion of fraud linked to passes used at Heathrow.
According to The Guardian, there is no evidence that the suspension of the passes and the arrests are related to terrorism. (PNA/Sputnik)
