Ready-to-smoke cannabis seized in Austria

About 4.7 kilograms of ready-to-smoke cannabis was seized in Austria, the Austrian Security Directorate announced Monday afternoon in a press release.

According to the police, one part of the drugs, found in the house of a 51-year-old work in the Austrian state of Upper Austria, had already been portioned and vacuum packed professionally.

The suspect confessed to have operated three outdoor plantations in a forest and on his property in recent years. The seized cannabis, with a street value of around 47,000 euros (about US$ 59,590), was harvested in 2011.
