Three suspected robbers, one of them a minor, broke into the Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) branch in Caloocan City before dawn Saturday.
Caloocan police said alert barangay tanod managed to bag one of the suspects, a minor who yielded three LCD monitors.
The three gained entry to the RCBC branch along Susano Road in Caloocan City’s Camarin area by prying open part of the roof, police said.
But the bank’s alarm system sounded, alerting barangay tanods to the scene and prompting the suspects to scamper off without taking any other valuables.
Investigators are now verifying the minor’s claim he had at least two accomplices but the police did not say if the other two were also minors.
