Seven persons died and four others were missing as Typhoon “Pedring” battered Central Luzon, the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) report said on Wednesday.
Josefina Timoteo, RDRRMC regional director in Central Luzon, said the fatalities were from the provinces of Bulacan, Pampanga and Zambales.
Timoteo said that the four victims in Bulacan were hit by falling trees. They were identified as Charmaine Catampay, six, and Rica May Hatitay, six, both from San Jose Del Monte City; Gloria May Jose, 10, and Giselle Basco, two, both from Sta Maria town.
Robelyn Bella Borre, nine, of Candaba, Pampanga, was also hit by falling tree.
Other fatalities were Bryan Anthony Landeza Sumanga of Olongapo City due to mudslide and Andrew Fallorina, 29, of Botolan, Zambales due to vehicular accident.
Those missing, on the other hand, were identified as Christopher Madhos, 37, of Barangay Sabang, Baler, Aurora; and Raul Rivera, 17, of Sta Juliana, Capas, Tarlac.
