The Provincial Kabataan Federation will hold the Pangasinan SK Run 2011 on November 27 whose proceeds will go to the “Tsinelas” project of the federation in various remote barangays of the province.
SK Federation president John Christopher Arcinue said the fun run will be sponsored by Governor Amado Espino Jr. and the Abono partylist which will donate 3,000 T-shirts for the runners.
Gov. Espino will lead the fun run along with some members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
Arcinue said the runners will be divided into two categories, the three-kilometer event for those from nine to 13 years and the five-kilometer event for 14 years and above.
Those seeing action in the three-kilometer event will pay a registration fee of 200 each and P300 each for the five-kilometer event.
Arcinue said the three-kilometer event will fire off in front of the Narciso Ramos Civic and Sports Center (NRCSC) grandstand onto the provincial capitol and back to the NRCSC.
The five-kilometer race will start from the NRCSC grandstand onto Maramba Boulevard, towards the provincial capitol and back to NRCSC.
Arcinue said the race is only a fun run to give a chance for SK members around the province to unwind and support a worthwhile cause of raising fund for the SK “Tsinelas” program for poor pupils and students.
