The 44-year-old Aurora Integrated Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AIMCoop) bagged the the Outstanding Employer’s award while Zamboanga del Sur Electric Cooperative-I (Zamsureco-I) information officer Libreal Cabatcha was adjudged as the Outstanding Employee in the private sector in the province of Zamboanga del Sur.
The search was launched by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) regional office headed by Ponciano Ligutom in line with its celebration of Labor Day last May 1.
Ligutom said the search for the Outstanding Employer and Outstanding Employee was to give due recognition to companies and employees in the private sector.
Ligutom said the awarding ceremony was scheduled to be held 6:30 p.m.on Wednesday at the Heroes Hall of Zamsureco-I in Pagadian City, the capital of Zamboanga del Sur.
DOLE Zamboanga del Sur provincial head Virginia Bonbon said that a panel of judges from the different sectors of society were chosen to do the arduous task of selecting the best from among the many contenders in the province.
AIMCoop was organized in Aurora municipality, Zamboanga del Sur, in 1967 by a Columbian priest.
The cooperative with 44 members and a total capital of P400 now has offices in Maigo, Tubod and Kapatagan in Lanao del Norte; Tukuran, Molave, Dumingag, Midsalip, Pagadian and Margosatubig in Zamboanga del Sur; Titay, Imelda, Kabasalan and Ipil in Zamboanga Sibugay.
Bonbon said the winners of the search in the province of Zamboanga del Sur will be vying for the Regional Search on May 16-17, which will be held in Zamboanga City.
Awarding of regional winners will be held also in Zamboanga City on May 31, which is the culmination of the 2011 Labor Day celebration, Bonbon said. (PNA) DCT/fpv/TPG/utb
