Oklahoma Thunder Advance to Finals by Beating Spurs
Oklahoma Thunder (OKC) salvaged an 18-point deficit and rallied past the determined San Antonio Spurs (107-99) to advance to the 2012 NBA Finals to be played against either Boston Celtics or Miami Heat (3-2 Boston Celtics lead the series).
Derek Fisher scored a crucial 3-point followed by another 3 points by James Harden to seal the lead of Oklahoma. Another jumpshot by Fisher widened the lead. A brilliant pass of Durant to Perkins further buried Spurs’ hope to force a Game 7.
OKC was slow in the first and second quarters. But the young Thunder managed to fire up in the fourth quarter when it led for the first time. Since then, Spurs was never able to recover.
