Three oil companies asserted Tuesday intention to reinstate their activities in Yemen.
They made the statement during a meeting that gathered Oil and Minerals Minister Hisham Sharaf with OMV company’s Executive Director Norbert Groschner, Calvalley Petroleum Company General Manager Nabil Nassef and Quiet Energy Company Operation Head for the Middle East and Russia Mohammed al-Hawqal.
During the meeting, the oil companies’ officials said that their staffs, who have left the country, would return and practice their normal activities after ending the Yemeni crisis.
The Minister reviewed with the companies officials the exploration and production operations in the blocks the companies run as well as their future trends.
Sharaf accented the government’s trend to open investments to the major international and regional companies in oil, gas and minerals sectors in the country.
