The remains of two of three Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who died in Dubai during a fire last week are now on the way to the Philippines aboard AK334-Emerites Airlines.
Pangasinan provincial board member Ranjit Ramos Shahani, arranged the repatriation of the remains of the two with Consult General Benito Valeriano of Dubai .
Those arriving at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 10:30 p.m. Thursday are the remains of Ariel Soberano and Erlyn Luna, who died when an apartment they were staying in Dubai was razed to the ground.
Both are from Barangay Sobol, Asingan. The remains of the two are expected to be brought to their respective homes in Asingan Friday morning.
A third fire victim, Crislyn Sagum of Barangay Bacag, Villasis, Pangasinan, could not yet be repatriated as she was identified as an undocumented worker who illegally entered Dubai.
