GS Engineering & Construction Corp., South Korea’s third-largest builder, said Friday that it has clinched a 340 billion won (US$ 302 million) order to build office buildings in western Singapore.
Under the deal with the state-run Jurong Town Corp., GS Engineering will build three towers in a business complex of Fusinopolis in Jurong. The buildings will house several research institutes and private information technology companies, it said.
It will take up to 38 months to complete the complex, the builder said.
GS Engineering said that the order is the first construction deal it has ever won in Singapore and will help it tap into the Southeast Asian market.
