National Salvation Front (NSF) of Egypt

Egypt’s main opposition bloc, the National Salvation Front (NSF), decided Saturday to boycott the upcoming parliamentary elections unless the controversial newly- drafted constitution was amended.

The NSF statement, read by spokesman Ahmed al-Boraei in a press conference following a meeting, demanded President Mohamed Morsi to form “a qualified national salvation government,” to sack the current prosecutor-general Talaat Abdullah and to subject the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) to the law.

“The NSF is preparing for a comprehensive program including a clear political, economic and social vision for Egypt in the coming stage,” Hussein Abdel-Raziq, NSF member and leading member of Tgammu Party, told Xinhua, reaffirming that the bloc would boycott the elections if their demands are not met.
