President Benigno S. Aquino III wishes the best for Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao on his quest for a historic eighth boxing crown on Saturday (Sunday morning in Manila) at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
The President issued his message for the Filipino boxing hero at the sidelines of the 18th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting here on Saturday morning.
“Of course, we will be rooting for Pacman, as the pride of our country rests on his winning the fight, with every Filipino expecting that he will perform his best,” said the Chief Executive.
“With the kind of training he went through with Freddie Roach, for sure he will have something great to share with all of us,” he continued, adding that he joins the rest of the country in wishing Pacquiao well and praying for his victory.
Pacquiao will face Mexican Antonio Margarito for the World Boxing Council super welterweight championship title which will put him on the top of the record books among the greatest boxers who ever lived.
