Leading cause of death by disease in children in the United States

AbolishCancer and musicians from around the world are teaming up to launch the “Rock2AbolishCancer” campaign, which encourages everyone to donate $1 to their favorite childhood cancer charity on September 1 to kick off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The hope is to unite musicians, not through performances or appearances, rather through social media to help raise awareness against pediatric cancer, the leading cause of death by disease in children in the United States.

Making large charitable contributions may be difficult for many people so “Rock2AbolishCancer” focuses on how everyone can do a little bit to help make a huge difference. Getting thousands, if not millions, of people involved with the campaign through the use of social media demonstrates solidarity in the fight as people show their support through their $1 donations.

To inspire others to get involved, many musicians have agreed to participate by using Twitter and Facebook to support the campaign and encourage their fans to be active and help spread the message.
