Lambat-Sibat bags 2 illegal number game collectors in Pangasinan
CAMP FLORENDO, La Union, March 11 (PNA) — Two collectors of the illegal number game “jueteng” were arrested under the lawmen’s Operation Lambat Sibat while in the act of collecting bets in two separate areas in Lingayen, Pangasinan on March 10.
Superintendent Jackson Seguin, Lingayen police chief, identified the suspects as Raymart Delos Santos, 20, a resident of Barangay Libsong, and Fernando Tuaño, 54, a resident of Pangapisan Sur, both in Lingayen.
Seguin reported here that Delos Santos was nabbed in Barangay Tonton East, Lingayen while Tuaño was caught in his barangay.
Seized from the suspects’ possession are P1,575 cash bets and various jueteng paraphernalia.
The arrest of the collectors was the result of the Lamba-Sibat operation conducted by the Lingayen police with the joint elements of Regional Intelligence Division, Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division, and Pangasinan Provincial Public Safety Company.
Suspects were charged for violation of Presidential Decree 1602 or the Anti-illegal Gambling Law.(PNA)
