Jesse Robredo’s Aide Left PNP Hospital

The aide of former Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo, who survived a plane crash off Masbate last Aug. 18, was discharged from the Philippine National Police (PNP) hospital on Monday.

PNP director for health services Senior Supt. Maria Angelica Vidal said Senior Insp. Jun Abrazado was allowed to be with his family.

Vidal also cited power fluctuations in the hospital inside Camp Crame as a reason for allowing Abrazado to leave for now.

But she said Abrazado still needs to return to the hospital for counseling and therapy, as he is still in depression due to the incident.

Abrazado was the lone survivor in the Aug. 18 crash that killed Robredo and the plane’s pilot and co-pilot. The plane was heading for Naga City from Cebu when it crashed.

Robredo’s remains were brought to Naga City last Sunday. He is to be cremated Tuesday following a state funeral led by President Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino III.
