Japan to Intervene North Korea Missile Launch

Japan is calling for actions from the UN Security Council against North Korea’s plan to launch what Japan believes is a long-range rocket this month, Foreign Minister Koichiro Gemba said Wednesday.

“I am certain the launch would be a clear violation of UN Security Council resolutions,” Gemba said.

Gemba believes “some response will be needed” by the international organization.

Gemba said Japan is considering many things including how the event should be dealt with by the Security Council, if the launch does happen.
