Iran condemns Saudi renewed attacks on Yemen
Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi on Wednesday strongly condemned the renewed attacks on residential areas and other civilian targets in Yemen by Saudi fighter jets which have killed or wounded scores of civilians.
The inaction of the international community, the so-called human rights organizations and the UN Security Council towards the inhuman atrocities committed by the Saudi government, has encouraged the Saudis to keep on with their reckless destruction of Yemeni infrastructure, massacre of civilians and its inhumane siege of the oppressed people of Yemen, Qassemi said.
He called on the United Nations and the countries that provide the invading Saudi army with the needed arms and equipments to make serious attempts to immediately stop these attacks.
Necessary measures should be taken to protect the lives of the civilians, particularly women and children, the foreign ministry spokesman said. (PNA/IRNA)
