Governor Corazon N. Malanyaon stressed on the importance of mindset of people in order to achieve success and prosperity.
Speaking before the almost 300 participants of the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Caravan in Mati City recently, Malanyaon said to instill this in the minds of Davao Oriental people, the provincial government and its partners developed the Rural Entrepreneurship Advocacy for Change (REACH) program.
“I strongly believe that mindset has a huge role to play in achieving economic success,” she said in the vernacular.
The governor said making “Go REACH, Grow Rich” as its banner slogan, she said the program is moving toward reaching the goal of making every Davao Oriental resident rich.
Malanyaon said the conduct of SME Caravan in her province will support the attainment of the REACH program’s objective.
Out of the 81 provinces in the country, only 14 were chosen as venues of the SME Caravan, one of them Davao Oriental.
A lot started out with nothing but managed to succeed. Some have even become millionaires. With the province’s varied resources, we have lots of potential. There’s no reason for Davao Oriental to be poor and be hungry,” she said.
On the other hand, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Regional Director Marizon S. Loreto said entrepreneurship is the seabed of economic opportunities.
