Iloilo City tops skills registrants in Western Visayas
ILOILO CITY, Dec. 28 (PNA) — Iloilo City was cited for topping the list of skills registrants for job matching through the Enhanced National Skills Registry Program (NSRP) of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-6).
The City Government was awarded for achieving the highest number of 7,226 registered job seekers in Enhanced NSRS System throughout Region 6 from the start of its implementation as of Sept. 1 – Dec. 5.
A Plaque of Recognition was given to City Hall through the leadership of Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog and assistance of Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager Ma. Elena A.C. Benitez by DOLE acting regional director Salome O. Siaton, according to the city’s public information office on Wednesday.
Mabilog stressed the recognition manifested the City Government’s initiatives and efforts in providing access and delivering more employment opportunities to the Ilonggos.
He encouraged more job seekers to register for skills matching to available work opportunities at PESO at 5th floor of City Hall.
Mabilog was earlier credited for his leadership that has steered the City Government to Rank No. 1 in NSRP implementation throughout Western Visayas garnering 31.70 percent or 75,503 accomplishment rate vis-à-vis its targeted 238,211 working population from Oct. 2010 to May 31, 2016. (PNA)
