We are not discounting the possibility that the nuclear radiation from Japan can hit Hong Kong. As the nuclear power plants in Japan become more and more uncontrollable with one in Fukushima melting down, radiation exposure is a real danger to any country near Japan.
But even for countries far from Japan, they can still be hit by nuclear radiation because radioactive atomic clouds can drift and reach you through air. If that is the case, Japan nuclear radiation can reach and hit Hong Kong.
Governments in every country will of course try to play down the real and present danger because, if not, there will be total chaos and confusion. Take precaution. Better be safe than feel sorry later.
Here’s the latest breaking news on the nuclear crisis in Japan.
(Jiji Press) A defect has been found in the container of a quake-damaged nuclear reactor in Fukushima Prefecture, northern Japan, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said Tuesday.
The defect was found in the suppression pool, which is used to change steam into water, of the container of the No.2 reactor of the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant of Tokyo Electric Power Co. <9501>, Edano said at a news conference.
