Two days to Good Friday, all courts in the Philippines rendered a half-day service on Holy Wednesday.
The offices of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, the anti-graft court Sandiganbayan, Court of Tax Appeals and all the lower courts ended their respective operations at noon.
This was to give the court employees, especially those returning to their home provinces, the opportunity to have an ample preparation for their travel.
Because of this, those who have transactions in court were earlier advised to come to the court before noon.
All courts in the country will resume normal operations on Tuesday, April 10, a day after the nation marks Araw ng kagitingan or Day of Valor.
