Greece in implementing additional austerity measures

Eurozone finance ministers welcomed on Wednesday progress made by Greece in implementing additional austerity measures, making it likely they will approve a fresh bailout for the debt-ridden country at their next meeting on Monday.

Eurozone finance panel chairman Jean-Claude Juncker said in a statement late Wednesday after a conference call among finance chiefs of the 17 countries using the euro that he expects them to “be able to take all the necessary decisions on Monday.”

Eurozone countries are asking Greece to come up with 325 million euros in budget cuts on top of austerity measures already agreed.
