The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) is allocating P103 million for the implementation of various infrastructure projects next year in this southern port city.
The DBM’s approval came following series of representation and follow up made by second district Congressman Erico Basilio Fabian, in whose district the projects will be implemented.
The projects will be implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the funding forms part of Fabian’s Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).
DPWH district engineer Merham Acas said the infrastructure projects included the preventive road maintenance, road reblocking, asphalt overlay and the bridge construction in Barangay Sangali, 25 kilometers east of this city.
Acas said the projects are aimed to enhance the delivery of basic services in the far flung areas, as in this case, in this city’s second congressional district.
