GM Korea Co., the local unit of General Motors Co., announced on Tuesday that one of its vice presidents has been named GM’s global vehicle line executive for small cars.
Sohn Dong-youn, currently vice president for GM Korea’s vehicle engineering, will take the position on March 1, GM Korea said in a statement.
Sohn started his engineering career at Daewoo Motor Co., GM Korea’s predecessor, in 1989 and has undertaken key projects such as product integration and powertrain development over the years. He also served as GM’s vehicle chief engineer for mini cars.
Steve Clarke, vice president for GM international operations vehicle engineering, will concurrently serve as GM Korea’s vice president for vehicle engineering, said GM Korea.
