Free PhilHealth Cards in Iloilo, Philippines
President Benigno Aquino III will distribute cards to selected Philhealth-sponsored members and hand out lot awards to informal settlers affected by the Iloilo River Development Project during his visit here Friday.
The city government has enrolled 51,025 members under its Philhealth sponsored program while 12,092 households are currently enrolled under the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Members under the sponsored program are enrolled until December 2013 and are entitled to the No Balance Billing Policy of the Philhealth once admitted in government hospitals and their ailment falls under the 23 illnesses listed under the Case Rate.
Ten beneficiaries have been chosen to receive their cards during the ceremonial distribution on Friday.
On the other hand, President Aquino will also distribute lot awards to identified beneficiaries affected by the ongoing development projects at the Iloilo River to be accommodated at the city-owned relocation site in Barangay Lanit in Jaro district.
An initial 1,000 out of the 3,500 families of informal settlers have been identified to avail of housing units initially funded from out of the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) of Senator Drilon and the National Housing Authority (NHA).
