Free Lighting Bulb in Isabela, Philippines

The Department of Energy (DOE)on Monday distributed 1,000 compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs)to the residents of Barangay Nagassican here as part of the government’s program to curb power consumption of the Filipinos.

Science research specialist Thelma Agagas of DOE together with Rep. Giorgidi Aggabao(4th District)handed the CFLs to the people of Nagassican.

Agagas said the DOE aims to distribute 3.6 million CFLs nationwide through the offices of congressmen. Each congressional district will be given 10,000 CFLs and the recipients will be identified by the lawmakers.

Rep. Aggabao expressed his gratitude to the DOE for the free energy-saving bulbs given to this district.
