The Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) has discharged six policemen from the service after they were confirmed to have been using prohibited drugs.
This as PRO-9 director Chief Supt. Napoleon Estilles disclosed that five other policemen are facing administrative case for the same offense.
According to Estilles, those discharged included one officer and five non-commissioned officers.
Estilles said the policemen were tested positive to drug use. The drug test determines whether they are fit to be in the police service.
Bad policemen should not be retained in the service “so that they will not influence other policemen to commit crimes or wrongdoings while in the service,” according to Estilles.
Policemen should serve the people and country with honor, integrity, loyalty and goodness, he said.
