Australian Treasurer Wayne Swan on Friday said the sooner Europe and the United States resolve the debt issues, the better it will be for everybody.
On Thursday, European leaders agreed to grant Greece a new bailout, but the U.S. has yet to strike a deal to prevent it defaulting on August 2.
Swan said events in both Europe and the United States are creating a substantial degree of uncertainty.?
“In that environment, there are risks in the international economy … the sooner they resolve their issues the better,” Swan told Australia Associated Press on Friday.
