There are 2,505,882 Armenians registered to vote in the upcoming presidential elections, Armenian police announced on Friday.
The Armenian police published the final number of voters as the country’s law requires.
According to the last census carried out in 2011 by the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the population permanently residing in the country was about 2,871,000.
Presidential elections in Armenia are scheduled for Feb. 18. Eight candidates, including incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan and former Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan, are competing in the race.
