Seven persons were arrested in separate buy-bust operations against illegal drug trade in North Cotabato Tuesday, police said.
Citing report from police office in Alamada, North Cotabato, Provincial Police Director Senior Supt. Cornelio Salinas said four suspected drug dealers were arrested in Poblacion Alamada during a buy-bust operation Tuesday morning.
Salinas identified the arrested suspects as Danilo Prudente, owner of the Alamada business establishment where the transaction was conducted, Maimona Morohomsalic, Abdulbayan Obay and Abubakar Timam, all are residents Bagua, Cotabato City.
Those arrested in Kidapawan City buy bust operation were identified as Arman Walingan of Barangay Kayaga, Kabacan, North Cotabato, Joseph Alvin Llanderal and his live-in partner Annie Rose Madayag.
Salinas said the raiding team confiscated at least 17 small sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride or commonly known as “shabu.”
It has an estimated market value of P10,000.
He said various drug paraphernalia and the marked money worth P3,000 were also recovered during the raid.
“Our police operatives in Alamada also recovered the motorcycle used by the suspects in transporting the illegal drugs within the town,” Salinas said, adding that the stuff may have come from Cotabato City.
Salinas said Armas Walingan who was apprehended in Kidapawan City buy bust operation is one among those included in the drug watch list, while Madayag was in the wanted list of drug dealer in North Cotabato.
The suspected drug dealers are facing violation of Republic Act 9165 and now detained in both temporary detention cells in Alamada and Kidapawan City while waiting for commitment order for their transfer to North Cotabato District Jail in Barangay Amas, Kidapawan City. (PNA)
