The Department of Social Welfare and Development(DSWD) here has placed 15 municipalities in the province as recipients of the Cash for Training and cash for Work programs.
DSWD provincial officer Dona Osio said that out of the 15 towns, the training of villagers in the municipalities of Aritao, Diadi and Dupax del Norte were already completed.
“We are also following- up other local government units who have not yet submitted their project proposals,” she said.
Osio said the other target municipalities in the province are Bagabag, Quezon, Dupax del Sur, Kayapa, Sta. Fe, Alfonso Castaneda, Bambang, Kasibu, Bayombong, Solano, Ambaguio and Villaverde.
The Cash for Training and Cash for Work Program involves the training of villagers based on the project proposals submitted by barangay officials.
The recipient barangays are required to forge a Memorandum of Agreement(MOA) with the DSWD.
The recipients of the Cash for Training and Cash for Work Program are selected based on the result of the DSWD’s National Household Targeting System(NHTS).
