Philippines AirAsia Inc. has partnered with Philippine Seven Corp. to make it convenient for its passengers to book flights and pay for them at more than 800 7-Eleven Stores nationwide.
This was announced in an email by AirAsia chief executive officer Maan Hontiveros sent on Monday to reporters.
According to Hontiveros, AirAsia chairman Tony Boy Cojuangco and Philippine Seven Corp. president and chief executive officer Jose Victor Paterno formalized the agreement only last Friday.
“We know that we made the right choice by launching this payment innovation with 7-Eleven. Our partnership brings more payment convenience so that everyone can have an easy, hassle-free access to AirAsia’s super low fares and promos,” Hontiveros said.
The arrangement should also allow AirAsia passengers to book flights on 24/7 basis and pay for it in cash.
Similar arrangements have been pursued with other partners so it should be even easier for passengers to book flights with AirAsia anytime anywhere in the country in the future.
To celebrate the partnership, Hontiveros said AirAsia is offering promo fares from as low as P699 for Davao and Kalibo; P999 for Taipei and Hong Kong and P1,499 for Singapore. Guests who avail of this promo online will be able to travel from Jan. 24 to May 22.
