BIR Extends Deadline Filing of VAT Returns

Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Kim Jacinto-Henares has extended to August 19 this year the deadline for the filing of, among others, the value added tax (VAT) and other value percentage taxes as a result of the bad weather this week.

The original deadline for BIR Revenue District Offices (RDOs) and authorized agent banks is August 10.

In a memorandum, Henares said the forms included in the deadline extension are BIR forms 1600, 1606, 1601C and 1602, 1601E and 1501F, and 2200M.

Covered by the deadline extension are RDOs 1-6 under BIR Calasiao, Pangasinan; RDOs 17A, 17B, 18, 19, 20, 21A and 22B under San Fernando, Pampanga; and RDOs 24, 25A, 25B, 26 and 27 under S-Caloocan City.

Also, RDOs 29-34 under BIR 6-Manila; RDOs 28, 38-42, 34A, 43B, 45, and 46 under BIR 7-Quezon City; RDOs 54A, 54B, 56-61, and 63 under RR 9-San Pablo City.

Also included in the deadline extension are the LTAD I-III, LTEAD 1-11, including LTDO-Makati under the Large Tax Service (LTS).
