The Baguio Fire Station (BFS) Tuesday renewed its campaign for fire prevention as the city and the rest of the Cordilleras start to experience less rainfall due to the start of summer season.
City fire marshal Richard Villanueva said the campaign is timely as the city observes its fire prevention month.
To date, there were already nine structural fires which happened in various areas here and one which occurred in Barangay Aurora Hill killed a child.
Many grassy and forested areas here are vulnerable to fires during the dry months.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has confirmed that as of today, the temperature range has already moved up to 15 to 26 degrees celsius.
