Governor Lilia Pineda on Monday inspected the newly-constructed building of Andres G. Luciano Memorial Hospital (formerly known as Balitucan District Hospital) here as part of her administration’s efforts to provide health and medical services to the people.
Pineda said the new hospital facility is expected to be inaugurated early next month, to coincide with the celebration of 440th founding anniversary of the province.
Constructed with a budget of P30 million, the newly completed building houses the wards, emergency room, laboratory, pharmacy, dental offices, supply room, doctor’s quarters and staff offices.
The governor said the upgrading and rehabilitation of several district hospitals in the province, including Andres G. Luciano Memorial Hospital, is aimed at providing efficient and effective health services.
She earlier said that George Samson of the World Medical Relief Foundation has promised to donate medical equipment to the hospital.
