The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Council (PDRRC) has reported three separate landslide incidents in the province of Albay as of noontime Wednesday.
Albay Gov. Joey Salceda disclosed that landslides were reported in Tinapian and Sitio Anopol Malobago in the municipality of Manito and Purok 1 and 2 of Buhatan of Sto. Domingo town.
As of Wednesday, 2,719 persons or 494 families have been evacuated.
“Tinapian was impassable to tricycles and four wheel vehicles as of 9:00 in the morning but Department of Public Works and Highways maintenance and Army team has already been dispatched to area for clearing operation,” the governor said.
He added that six Army trucks have been prepositioned for floodplains. “PAGASA predicts more rains on December 29 in the afternoon and continuous rains until tomorrow, December 30.”
