Airplanes Fear Japan Nuclear Radiation Exposure

Some European and Asian airlines have decided to avoid using airports in the Tokyo metropolitan area amid growing fears of radioactive fallout from an earthquake-damaged nuclear power plant north of the capital.

The moves partly reflect advice by their home governments to leave areas around Tokyo Electric Power Co.’s <9501> Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant in Fukushima Prefecture, which was hit by the 9.0-magnitude quake last Friday.
